ShareRing aims to be the “Amazon of the sharing economy.” It’s an open-source web-based platform that harnesses the blockchain for secure transactions across goods and services. Unlike other platforms in the sharing economy that focus on a specific niche like transportation or housing, ShareRing removes those barriers and “brings the potential for you to share, rent or borrow just about anything.”
ShareRing is an app that users access to borrow, rent or share. The global nature of the ShareRing platform lets users connect no matter where they are located in a simple and useful way, for instance, booking a ride to the airport in Hong Kong, finding a place to stay in San Francisco and hiring a dog sitter back home while traveling. As another use case, a vehicle rental company adds their cars to the platform as assets and then starts renting out the vehicles.
A distributed ledger system dubbed ShareLedger is based on blockchain technology and keeps transactions secure.
ShareToken (SHR) = utility token. SharePay (SHRP) = the currency for sharing services.
